Miz Cracker hosted Oregon State Program Council’s annual Drag Bingo last week, providing comedic entertainment to a wonderful night. Tickets for this show sold out in the first week, causing a very busy night with 299 students attending!
Miz Cracker, being a finalist on RuPaul’s Drag Race and having over one million followers on all social platforms, really brought the hype and anticipation for students and staff. “I think that was such a big factor of why we sold out so fast,” said Andrea Valle, the lead event specialist for OSUPC.
Miz Cracker was a fan favorite for OSUPC, making the staff and students even more excited for her to be a part of this year’s bingo event. “She has the whole package,” said Keegan Kirby, one of the event specialists.
The energy within the room, even before Miz Cracker came out, was electric. “The tension in the room is palpable,” said Kirby.
“Drag Bingo is a slay, we are having so much fun!” said Zoey Jones, a third year elementary education student.
Transfer students were saying they have never seen something so amazing and impressive before at their older schools. “I love that you could just kind of get the sense of community and everyone is so excited to be here just from being in the room,” said Riya Shanker, a third year computer science major.
Oregon State Program Council’s Drag Bingo brought many students who came for fun entertainment while finding a community of people with similar values.
“Spaces like these aren’t everywhere, so it’s really great that we have them here,” said Shanker.
